ALBERTA VIRGINIA BOULDIN BLANDIN

July 3, 1902 - September 12, 1989

Alberta Virginia Blandin was born on July 3, 1902 in Angels Camp, California to Virginia (Jennie) Parker Reid and Thomas Henry Reid. She was one of 13 children. In her early years her family located in Berkeley, California where she attended the public schools. She was married at an early age to William (Willie) Bouldin. To this union were born two sons.

Willie died in 1959. She married Eugene Blandin in 1963, who also preceded her in death.Alberta was a devoted member of Berkeley Friends Church in Berkeley, California where she served on the Ministry and Counsel and Missionary Outreach Committees. She was the Refreshment Coordinator, and worked for many years in the Food Pantry.She was an avid supporter of the Children's Home Society in Oakland. She also served in the Senior Volunteer Program, visiting Berkeley schools and talking to the children about her early years in Berkeley. One of these schools was Jefferson, which she attended as a child.After a lengthy illness, she passed this life in the early morning of September 2, knowing that "God was in charge of her life."

Alberta leaves to mourn her passing two sons, Georges and Gilbert Bouldin; a daughter-in-law, Benella Bouldin; Grand-daughters, Linda Bouldin-Smith and husband Walter Smith, Stacy Bouldin, Carolyn Kelly, Rita Carter; Grand-sons Georges Bouldin, Jr. and Brian Bouldin; 6 Great Grandsons, 2 Great-Granddaughters and 1 Great-Great-Grandson; Sisters Dorothy Pete, Florence Lewis, Maybelle Allen, Hazel Huff, Brother Robert Reid; a host of nieces and nephews and friends.
